Public accounting firms in New York State with three or more professionals are required to go through a peer review once every three years. A peer review is a systematic review of a firm’s accounting and auditing services performed by a peer reviewer who is not affiliated with the firm being reviewed, to ensure work performed on attest engagements conforms to the professional standards of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
At LMC we have undergone a peer review in July 2011, July 2014, May 2017, and May 2020.
