Lee M. Cohen, CPA, Managing Partner and Founder of LMC was honored at the Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC’s 24th Annual Accountants and Bankers Reception at Inside Park at St. Bart’s on Wednesday, May 18th, 2022.
The event was very well attended, and included in the crowd were many of Lee’s friends, family and colleagues. The reception was a wonderful evening, in which over $350,000 was raised for BBBS of NYC!
Lee was also awarded the 2022 Arthur J. Dixon Public Service Award, by the New York State Society of CPA’s (NYSSCPA)!
The 2022 Arthur J. Dixon Public Service Award by NYSSCPAs recognizes CPAs who have a demonstrated history of public service and volunteerism for a charitable, community or civic organization. This award celebrates the quality of, and dedication to, philanthropic service and the CPA’s overall contribution to building and fostering community.
The award was accepted on behalf of Lee by LMC’s Tax Manager Jeffrey Gold, CPA, who nominated Lee for the award on Thursday, May 26th.
“It was a pleasure to nominate this award for Lee, who has gone above and beyond in giving back to communities and volunteering for charitable causes. I have worked as a Tax Manager at LMC since Lee started the company in 2010, and it’s amazing to see first-hand all the charitable initiatives the firm participates in and the communities Lee gives back to on a regular basis,” said Jeffrey Gold, CPA.
It was an incredible honor for Lee to be recognized by both BBBS of NYC and NYSSCPAs for both these prestigious awards. Congratulations Lee!
